Please obtain any authorizations and referrals for service prior to the day of the appointment.
If authorization has not been provided to our eligibility specialist at least 48 hours before your appointment, the appointment may need to be rescheduled to a later date and time.
Patients are seen by appointment only. You will be offered the earliest appointment that is convenient for you and allows enough office time to adequately assess and treat the problem.
As our specialty is child neurology, occasionally we will have an emergency that may require a change in your appointment or may cause a delay in our office. We appreciate your patience and understanding should this situation occur.
We request a call at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment if the patient must cancel. This allows other patients to use that time slot. Failure to do so may result in a charge for the missed appointment. If the patient appears for his or her appointment ten or more minutes late, the appointment will automatically be rescheduled. This is to assure that the practitioners stay on time for the rest of our patients. To avoid this happening, we ask that our patients arrive 20 minutes early for their appointments.
Telephone requests for prescription renewals should be made only during office hours so the doctor or practitioner may review your child's medical chart and adequately document the refill. We cannot write prescriptions at night or on the weekends. If your child is on anti-convulsant medication, please ask your pharmacist for enough medication to last until the next business day, when the office can be contacted. Your pharmacy may need to order your medication, so please call before your supply actually runs out. For the safety of your child, you must keep regular office follow-ups for us to renew prescriptions.
